Oh my word!! How wonderful! That has been a dream of mine--to just meet up with a bunch of other musicians from all levels and just sit around campfires and jam. I wouldn't want to compete, as it were... just jam and fellowship...
I wonder if FL or South Georgia has anything like this? But "Fiddlers Grove" is such a neat name....still watching through them :D Thanks @John (BGD)

I notice the fiddlers in the video are using mics to amp their instrument. I always figured that would create a shrill, unpleasant sound.. making hearing aids squeal. Of course, I'm watching on a device...
I guess it doesn't bother "in house" folks when the fiddle is amplified via mic?

Great stuff, John. Thanks a bunch for posting. :)

Thanks Fred!
@lisab a microphone is the only way to amplify these acoustic instruments. Sometimes there is some horrible feedback, to be sure! But, it's the price you pay.

Thanks, @John (BGD) this tells me I shouldnt back away when one of the veteran jammers tries to give my fiddle a mic. Thanks!
